About OBLIQUM

Independent Digital Research & Content Intelligence

Obliqum is an independent digital research and content intelligence practice founded by Marinela Serban.

Who I Am

My name is Marinela Serban, and I work at the intersection of digital media, communication, public-source research, and content intelligence.

Through Obliqum, I help clients make sense of public information before they write, publish, collaborate, investigate or make decisions.

Each project is handled independently, with direct attention, careful judgement and a clear research process.

What Obliqum Does

Obliqum provides early-stage research and context intelligence for clients who need clarity before moving forward.

These services are designed to save time, reduce uncertainty and create a structured starting point for deeper research, writing, strategy, content or decision-making.

Obliqum works especially well for freelancers, small organisations, writers, researchers, journalists, consultants, and early-stage ideas that need careful public-source research and clear interpretation.

My Mission

The mission is simple: to help clients move from information overload to strategic clarity and save time.

I believe that research should not only collect data. It should help people understand context, recognise credibility signals, ask better questions and make more informed decisions.

Obliqum begins with public data, but it does not end there. The value comes from human interpretation: what matters, what is missing, what appears credible and what needs deeper questioning.

How I Work

Obliqum uses a structured research workflow

01.

Collect

I gather relevant information from public records, official websites, public media sources, digital footprints, documents and client-provided links.

02.

Connect

I look for patterns, relationships, repeated narratives, inconsistencies, missing context and credibility signals.

03.

Verify

I separate confirmed public information from interpretation, uncertainty and areas that require deeper research.

04.

Interpret

I explain what the available information may suggest, what it does not prove and what should be questioned further.

05.

Evaluate

I review my delivery to ensure clarity, accuracy, usefulness and alignment with the client’s needs.

06.

Report

I deliver clear, structured outputs designed to support better next steps.

Why Obliqum?

Obliqum reflects a way of thinking that is indirect, layered, and attentive to what is not immediately visible. The name comes from the idea of approaching information at an angle – not just collecting data, but interpreting context, patterns, and meaning beneath the surface.

In a digital environment saturated with content, clarity does not come from volume, but from perspective. Obliqum represents a method of working that values careful observation, critical analysis, and thoughtful synthesis.
